Building a Global Utopia

General Physics is part of the developed world's multinational oriented corporate plan to build a better standard of living for everyone. Developing nations will benefit from the rising tide of advanced manufacturing, distributing some jobs to parts of the world with a less skilled workforce. However interesting the ideas of an idyllic global society are, the people of the world face threats from a few dangers: right-wing nationalism, a return to religious fundamentalism, and a lack of education. Let's be clear, government is a tool constructed to assist the population achieve social outcomes. SSDI helps the disabled. Social security assists the elderly. Medicare and Medicaid help the sick. The Department of Energy is in charge of stockpile stewardship. The government's bonds fund schools, roads, bridges, and infrastructure. Of course, the current administration sees less government as the solution, as is the case with Reagan Republicans who view the US as a trickle down economic bloc. In theory, it might work, but the fact of the matter is that too many fall through the cracks. The job of protecting the worker falls to the government as corporations do not do this job adequately. This is all too complicated.
Starting with right-wing nationalism, governments across the world have seen a surge in popular movements against immigration and open borders. This conservative movement is a danger to the world proposed since the era of classical antiquity, the Enlightenment, and the post war period. The Greeks created democracy, Leibniz and others wanted irenical universal language, and the post war years saw the ideal of the United Nations. A country like the United States cannot fight immigration by creating isolation and travel bans. What we need is cultural exchange to promote the multinational.
Religious extremism is another danger. Too often the ecumenical ideal is forgotten. Islamic fundamentalism, Jewish retribution, and Christian factionalism have consistently led to religious wars and fighting. Of course, General Physics supports a world of tolerance of all religious groups. However, too often these religious groups hold on to superstition and ancient hatreds that lead them to conflict. In the Middle East, both Israeli and Islamic groups hold onto their beliefs instead of accepting a new secular world. In the US, teaching creationism and discarding evolution will lead to a slippery slope of superstitious thinking, intolerance, and racism.
This leads to the idea that the educational system, specifically the secular education in science and mathematics is lacking. What is needed is universal education as the driving force, and it should be able to teach everyone everything. Indeed it is the Weyl topology of space that connects every point to every other point so why not involve this philosophy in education. Defunding scientists, ending the Department of Education, and isolation are not the answer. What is needed is a Renaissance of science in the world, where A.I., fusion, engineering challenges, and infrastructure projects are tackled with passion. General Physics hopes to lead in this secular mind space as a force for good.
Usually, General Physics is a non-political organization which seeks to develop the key ingredients for fusion, stem cell technology, supergrid infrastructure, A.I., and shipbuilding. The goal is simple, progress through ecumenical and secular scientific philosophy.
